Cure for gout, naturally

I have seen articles saying that cherry juice is a cure for gout, a natural remedy at that. I have not tried this myself but I can believe that it would work. I use some thing that is natural and can be found in most supermarkets. Apple cider vinegar, yeah, a good old saying, 'an apple a day keeps the doctor away. In my case, 'an apple cider vinegar a day keeps the gout away'.

I first found out about this about two and a half years ago when I went out for lunch with my ex-boss and a friend of his, John. The dilemma was what to order for lunch as red meat triggers my gout attacks. I ended up getting sushi, but the main point is that John found out that I had gout and suggested taking apple cider vinegar each day with water.

I tried it, but it has an overpowering vinegar taste, now I just mix it with cordial. In any case it worked wonders for eight months before I tried a different brand of apple cidar vinegar, probably because it was half the price. I eventually realised the the original brand I was using was double strength. Maybe taking double the dose of the weaker brand might work, but I prefer to stay with what works.

I wouldn't say that the apple cider vinegar is a cure for gout, but I have been almost gout free ever since. There are times when I feel a gout attack coming on if I eat a lot of red meat but that just goes away without any medication.
